Jessi Lyn McKenna-Popovic , LMHC LPC

Jessi is not currently accepting new clients.

Hi, I’m Jessi — Owner and Clinical Director of WMHCS. I’m an attachment-based therapist specializing in work with women, children, and families.

For children and parents, I provide play-based therapy, parent coaching, and support for anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, and strengthening secure attachment.

For women and mothers in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, I help navigate anxiety, life transitions, relationships, communication challenges, motherhood, and self-confidence.

My approach is rooted in the belief that our past experiences shape how we show up in the world today. Together, we explore these patterns while building practical tools for growth, healing, and connection. Drawing from my background in fitness and nutrition, I also value the mind-body connection and the role it plays in overall well-being.

Outside the office, I’m a wife, mom of (soon-to-be) two, and a lover of CrossFit and gardening—both of which keep me grounded and inspired.

Andrew Machado, LMHC

Hi, I’m Andrew Machado, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, Autism, behavioral challenges, substance use, and life stressors.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Humanistic Therapy, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and expressive therapies such as art and music.

I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual's unique experiences and needs. Together, we'll identify the challenges you're facing, build practical tools for lasting change, and work toward meaningful growth and healing. I also value collaboration and will advocate for your needs alongside other members of your care team when appropriate.

Outside the office, I enjoy making music, hiking, fishing, weightlifting, running, video games, spending time with my dogs, and cheering on the New York Yankees.

Alexis DiMauro, LMHC

Hi, I’m Alexis, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor passionate about supporting children, teens, adults, and couples through life's challenges. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, life transitions, relationship concerns, and communication struggles.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. I utilize evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and play therapy. For children, I incorporate creative, play-based techniques that foster expression and growth. For adults and couples, I focus on building insight, strengthening communication, and developing practical tools for meaningful, lasting change.

My goal is to help clients build resilience, deepen self-awareness, and feel empowered in their everyday lives.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, getting lost in a good book, and exploring new places through travel.

Alyssa Hanlon, LPMHC

Hi, I’m Alyssa, a compassionate therapist with experience supporting individuals and families through emotional, psychological, and relational challenges.

I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties. I also support individuals, couples, and families through divorce, trauma, and life transitions. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and work toward meaningful goals.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches, while tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs. I also focus on helping clients build practical tools they can carry with them outside of therapy.

My approach is holistic and grounded in the belief that people do best when they feel heard, supported, and empowered in their growth.

Outside the office, I enjoy crocheting, reading, spending time with my people, and cheering on the New York Giants.

Michele Morelli, LMHC

Hi, I’m Michele — a therapist specializing in perinatal, postpartum, and motherhood mental health, as well as work with teens, adults, and couples.

I support clients through pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, infertility, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, burnout, anxiety, depression, and the identity shifts that come with motherhood, along with relationship challenges and life transitions.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and personalized. I create a safe, supportive space where we can explore your experiences, understand the patterns behind them, and build practical tools, boundaries, and healthier relationships. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model and tailor therapy to each client’s needs and goals.

I currently offer all sessions virtually, making support accessible wherever you are. Outside of my work, I’m a mother of three, and I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience into my practice.

Kate Gomes, LMHC

Hi, I’m Kate — a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience supporting children, families, couples, and adults since 2007.

I offer individual, couples, family, and group therapy, as well as parent training and parent coordination. My background spans private practice, community mental health, social services, and family court, along with degrees in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, and Education. I’m also a certified teacher, which informs my understanding of how emotional well-being and learning are deeply connected.

My approach is attachment-based, focusing on how early relationships shape the way we see ourselves and connect with others. In therapy, I help clients explore these patterns in a safe, supportive space while building more secure, fulfilling relationships and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

Above all, I aim to create a warm, collaborative environment where you feel heard, supported, and understood as we work toward healing and growth.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids.

Amber Immerblum-Bassi, LCSW

Hi, I’m Amber, a licensed therapist in New York and Connecticut with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across various levels of care.

I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship challenges, neurodivergence, eating disorders, body image concerns, and co-occurring conditions. I also work closely with caregivers and loved ones who are supporting someone in distress, offering space and support for their experience as well.

My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework. I draw from CBT, DBT, play therapy, somatic strategies, and EFT (tapping) to support emotional regulation, resilience, and healing.

Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and real. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and able to show up as you are—while we build insight, practical tools, and meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my husband, pets, cooking, gardening, and caring for my mini ponies.
